The 72m high 13-tiered Rajagopuram was built in 1987 and this tower dominates the landscape for miles around, while the remaining 20 gopurams were built between the 14th and 17th centuries. , Rockfort Temple – The most amazing fact about the rock is that it is one of the oldest in the world – approximately 3,800 million years, which makes it as old as the rocks of green land and older than the Himalayas. Sim, the then Secretary to Government and Major Murray, acting Superintendent of the Nilgiris forest and the park was named after the forme, Doddabetta, Conoor Toy train -( tickets to be purchased on own) the experience of travel in toy train will mesmerizing rhythm of the train’s motion and that outlines your journey from the town of Mettupalayam to the hill station of ooty , Art Gallery/ Lalith Kala Academy, Ooty Lake, and later proceed to Kodaikanal.
